Game Flowchart
At our last meeting we discussed about the game flowchart (you can see a picture of it below). Explaining the whole gameflow would be to complicated so please read it in our documentation.

Here is just the short form:
The tutorial includes just one quest. After fullfilling this quest and winning the final challenge you enter the second level.
From now on there is
  • one keyquest which you have to make.
  • There are also several other quests which you can make.
Each level has a final challenge which you have to beat.

Testing
During the Christmas holidays I did one test. The person I asked is 15 years old and a real game expert because he plays a lot.

I described him our concept and showed him our characters and parts of the interface. He was quite impressed and asked, when this game will be published ;-)

We also talked about the title. There are three possibilities:
  • AtMESSphere
  • pollutition and
  • apollution 13
  • He said that AtMESSphere grabs the interest quickly but pollutition fits better to the content.

The last few weeks we were really busy in working on our game concept. We were so busy that we forget to do our blog. Here are the updates and achievements of the last work sessions:

Storyline

    Interface design
    The first interface elements are completed. Here is a screenshot:

    Tutorial
    • 1st Screen: Keyboard - how to move around
    • 2nd Screen – first Level
    • Instructions for moving are text-based and appear on the screen
    • The player has to train every function he is able to use/he has to use during the game e.g.
      • move around
      • use the map
      • learn how to fight
      • pick something up for the backpack
      • use items of the backpack
      • talk with somebody
      • fill up/raise the economy points, health level and money
    Afterwards everybody went on working on its duty. Lukas took some pictures, Pia created characters, Sarah formed the interface and Lisa did some administration work.
